Tips for traveling to the Festival
The first few weekends usually have less attendance than the last few, traffic is less, access to services is easier and the streets of the village are less congested.
Heaviest arriving traffic is usually between 11:00 and 1:00 daily.
Be careful with routes selected by GPS. If you ignore the suggested directions from the DC area and come out 450 east bound when you get to the light at Crownsville Road it is a left turn and you can wait there while opposing traffic with the right of way makes their right hand turn.
Stop at an ATM before you arrive. Food, beverage and games are cash only. ATM's at the Festival are popular and often there is a wait.
