The Company of St. George---History in 3-D

Interested in History? Like to engage folks with your witty historical knowledge? Maybe you have an untapped skill that you don't get to showcase often enough, or perhaps would like to learn one? If so, the Company of St. George may be where you belong.

As the Living History interpreters at The Maryland Renaissance Festival, St. George is the link to the past for our patrons. We are a group of dedicated performers/historians that recreate the daily life highlights of the 16th Century.

We are not all actors; nor are we all historians, but a combination of both working and learning together to create a typical household in 16th century England. We study all aspects of the common folk, and through research, interpretation, demonstration and interaction provide patrons History in 3-D.

For St. George Members

Rehearsals begin in July. Expect a minimum of 2 rehearsals weekly - more as we get closer to opening day. The Festival runs weekends from August 24 to October 20, 2013.  St. George members receive a small performance honorarium and rehearsal stipend. The Festival provides all performers with a costume.   Bess Wilkins, director.
