Shows Presented
by the Acting Company
As You Like It

Directed by Glenn and Joy Evans
Stage manager: Kate Bagdasian.
Assistant Stage Manager: Liz Armour

“Come, woo me, woo me; for now I am in a holiday humor
and like enough to consent.”
-Rosalind, Act IV, sc i.

As You Like It is a thoughtful and playful examination on romantic love and the pastoral ideal. Some critics have suggested Shakespeare was in a bit of a holiday humor and seemed to have taken a vacation from detailed and cohesive plot points in this comedy. But who wouldn’t want to take a holiday to the Forest of Arden and join some of Shakespeare’s most memorable characters – Rosalind, Touchstone and that melancholy “All the world’s a stage” Jacques. As Shakespeare comments, there are seven ages of man. Youth, love, and springtime have their season and we must gather our rosebuds while we may.
Enjoy the magic!
